BRICKHOUSE
Fairview Pub
House Band
For over 12 years, fans have hummed, sung, and even
lived the songs that bring them back, time and time
again. Singer Rob Bracken invites you into the
‘kitchen’, where sights, smells, and sounds are tossed
on a groove and served on a platter. Never without a
house gig, always a good time.
Dubbed as “Vancouver’s busiest band” (Stormin' Norman,
Rock 101 Sunday Blues), BRICKHOUSE has won the respect
among musicians as a band that makes a difference, where
the ‘song’ is the focus, accompanied by individual
inspiration. On any given night, old and new friends
share the stage to play their part in the classic
“Brickhouse” experience.
With a list of original material that rivals the number
of keys on a full size piano, BRICKHOUSE delivers a
message that attracts the young, and the young at heart.
With over 200 shows a year, it’s no wonder fans choose
the set list before the band does.
Now a six-piece ensemble, the sounds are forever
evolving, shaping into a new album; One that'll knock
your socks off!!

Battle Snakes is Aaron Battle, Jay Snay and Matt
L. Snakes. Forming in the hot summer of 2008 in the midst of naked
parties and epic bicycle gang outings, the boys in Battle Snakes met
during an argument over a 180g Stooges vinyl and a case of PBR. An
instant bond was formed and late night MC5 and Motorhead listening
parties evolved into drunk jam sessions and eventually into a rock n'
roll band ready to be covered in sweaty leather and greasy denim. In the
short time they've been together they've toured western Canada with
Regina friends Hot Blood Bombers and Edmonton rock machine the Get Down,
directly supported Canadian legends Tricky Woo, Seattle's the
Supersuckers, new hardcore heroes the Bronx, and self released their
five song "Carnal Knowledge" ep. |

Sean Burns Band
bio:
The July 2010
release of "A Glimpse Through Storyboards & Situations" follows the 2009
release of "The Other Side Of 25", (Sean's first full length release
that features a mix of Originals and some of Sean's favourite Covers).
Sean who wrote 11 of the 13 tracks on the new album is very excited
about the release as it is a project very near and dear to him.
Quoted as saying "Storyboards has been a labour of
love as much as a shopping cart of turmoil and mixed emotion. It's a
true look into the things I've encountered and been surrounded with over
the better part of a year so. It cost me more money then I have, a
steady job, a long-term relationship and every bit of my focus &
energy... Touring this thing is gonna be a blast!"
Sean Burns hits the road in Northern Ontario and all throughout Western
Canada from August through October to promote his Music & Show.
Also featured on the Tour will be Jamie Payne on the Electric & Acoustic
Guitars and longtime Musical compadre "Drummer Tim", with Sean mixing it
up on Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, and Mandolin |
The Rare Birds bio:
Fronted by transplanted East Coasters
David Mealiea and Mary Clements, Vancouver's The Rare Birds have spent
the past three years perfecting their
unique blend of folk-inspired songwriting. Though their music can be
said to fall into the folk/roots genre, it has been colored
and shaped by elements from reggae, punk rock, blues and jazz. In 2008,
Dave and
Mary were joined by Halifax native Chris Arsenault on drums, Salt Lake
City's Phillip Stoker on bass and electric guitar, and Fredericton's Max
Boyle on fiddle,
mandolin and vocals. They've since
played an ever growing number of venues around the city, rapidly fusing
with the already vibrant East-Vancouver folk-rock scene. Look out for
their debut studio
album, due in late 2010. |
